چکیده

Abstract Background Dry brewer spent yeast (DBSY) has high crude protein (CP) (43.2%) and metabolizable energy (14.3 MJ/kg) contents it is an alternative animal feed for the improvement of productive reproductive performance animals. This study was conducted to evaluate effect DBSY on chemical composition, in vitro digestibility, situ degradability wheat straw (WS). Methods Liquid (BSY) water mixed at a ratio 1:5, respectively. The debris soaked 7 h 200-L plastic bucket. accumulated above biomass removed by tilting container after BSY water. After three days sun drying, collected with scraper. (WS) uniformly. Different ratios DBSY: WS (0:100, 10:90, 20:80, 30:70, 40:60, 50:50, respectively, DM basis) were prepared. Based these ratios, experiment subjected completely randomized design six treatments comprising DBSY0, DBSY10, DBSY20, DBSY30, DBSY40, DBSY50. Rumen liquor from cannulated Boran-Friesian steers (42 months old weighed 480 kg). fed natural pasture hay ad libitum supplemented 2 kg concentrate per day/head. sample incubated test tube 39 °C 48 10 ml rumen fluid 50 buffer solution. enzymatic digestion acid pepsin solution continued another h. Blank standard samples also buffered correction precision check-up organic matter digestibility. Digestible dry (DOMD) determined drying ashing residues. (3 g mm sieve size) nylon bags (6.5 X 14 cm μm pore entered sequentially manually pressed deep into liquid phase ventral sac rumens (6, 12, 24, 48, 72, 96 h) fistulated Boran × Holstein–Friesian steers. removing rumen, washed running 20 min. residues dried 55 72 air-forced oven, hot weighed, finally, recovered further CP neutral detergent fibre (NDF) analysis. Results highest ash, energy, estimated digestible CP, DOMD, Ca, P, Cu, Zn better DM, NDF, ruminal degradability, lowest (P < 0.01) fibre, K & Fe observed DBSY50 than other inclusion level. In DBSY50, potential (PD) effective (ED) improved 52.22% 56.17%, PD ED increased 60.34% 65%, Similarly, 54.20% 63%, Conclusion can improve limited utilization straw, but this should be verified feeding identify recommend most promising, economical biological level DBSY.

Ruminal Degradation Kinetics of Wheat Straw Irradiated by High Doses of Electron Beam

This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of electron beam irradiation at doses of 250 and 500 kGy on the chemical composition and ruminal dry matter (DM) and neutral detergent fiber (NDF) degradability of wheat straw. Nylon bags of untreated or irradiated wheat straw were suspended in the rumen of three rams for up to 72 h, and resulting data were fitted to non-linear degradation model t...
